Food will play an important part in your holiday. We aim to strike a balance between the need to simply re-fuel and to enjoy a relaxing evening with friends around the table.

We have calculated that a rider consumes around 1500 kCals per hour while climbing. In other words you burn lots of energy!

Sam will ensure you have plenty to eat to replace those calories. She is a trained chef with a particular interest in sports nutrition. Sam has previous experience cooking for the Great Britain cycling team.

At breakfast there is always a selection of cereals, yoghurts, fresh fruit and juice, croissants, bread, jam, tea and coffee. Eggs are cooked to order. Your body may be begging you not to but we do recommend that you try to eat two portions of muslei or porridge. The slow release carbohydrate will help you later in the day.

In the evening we eat outside as much as possible during the summer months. Our love of good food, local cheese and French wines ensure that you will have a delicious meal each night.

Menus are planned weekly so any special dietary requirements can always be catered for.
