La Rosiere & La Thuile accessed by four man chair lift 400 metres from the chalet is the south facing resort of La Rosiere with well-groomed pistes and some of the most easily accessed off piste in the area. Situated on the French-Italian border with fantastic views of Mont Blanc, the Matterhorn and Monte Rosa. Uncrowded pistes lead to a delicious lunch in Italy before returning to France and skiing back to the chalet door at the end of the day.

Les Arcs and La Plagne are linked by double-decker cable car offering a huge and varied ski terrain with two glaciers, 250 marked pistes served by 175 lifts. Access is by the funicular train from Bourg Saint Maurice or via the little village of Villaroger. Clearly you could easily spend a whole week here (and some people choose to do this), however depending on snow conditions we usually split the area up into three very different ski days.

A short drive up the valley St Foy offers a huge contrast to the large mega resorts. With three lifts and traditional style development this uncrowded resort with stunning scenery makes for a relaxing day’s skiing.

Tignes – approx 20 minutes drive away has quick access to an amazing variety of skiing including the impressive Grand Motte glacier.
Val d’Isere - approx 25-minute drive is linked to Tignes and offers a huge amount of terrain for all standards. A huge day on the mountain for those who want to ski end to end of the two resorts. Val d’Isere also has a great town centre with some first rate shops!
